A particularly original work. The foreground is completely empty and then across the entire width of the work a row of chairs and two tables. The artist has very beautifully painted the darkness in the opening. That almost attracts more attention than the girl on the far right of the picture. The light in that darkness is so beautifully painted and then that little white table in front of it as a contrast. The whole work is painted in warm tones, which is why it is so nice that there is also something of blue to be seen. In the man's trousers and the frame of the advertisement. Nice that the artist has chosen to paint just an edge of the blinds. This makes it clear where the shadows on the figures are coming from. The work is painted with great sophistication. But especially the original choice of subject matter does it very well.
